Who is Misokie

cropped-12145046_413797242163873_117521273_n-e1444484852352.jpgWho am I?  I’m a mother of 5 and a grandma of 5.  My oldest is 27 my youngest is 8. There are 12 years difference between my next to youngest and my youngest.  Life is full of surprises. I am homeschooling my youngest right now. I’ve homeschooled off and on for 13 years.  3 of my oldest 4 graduated from home. Then one decided he wanted to graduate from regular school and boy did he, he graduated with honors. Yes, I’m a proud momma. My oldest daughter is a shift leader, then my other daughter is an accounts payable manager, and my oldest son is a lead loan officer.  I still have one working on college.  Then of course I have my little guy working on the 2nd grade. I couldn’t have made it through all these years without my husband. We’ve been married for 23 years. I feel like God put him in my life. We’ve had our ups and downs just like everyone else but I feel very blessed in the life I have.

I love saving money whether it is just saving a few dollars or actually up-cycling something.  I think one of my favorite things to save money on right now is homeschool.

As anyone who has homeschooled knows the expense can add up.  You can save money in lots of ways. I will be able to show you how to cut back on your budget and not lose any of the important learning aspect of your school.  One of my favorite ways to save money is by using the internet to its fullest.  There are so many free printouts out there.  I use coloring sheets, Minecraft math sheets, story writing starters as well as planners.  I will be sharing a lot of ways to save not only on homeschool! I hope you enjoy the blog.  Talk to you again soon!

#Homeschoolscopes is a wonderful group on Facebook and Periscope.

Hi Lori:

I was very excited to see that you mentioned our little film “The Boxcar Children” in your post. It was very hard for us to get distributors to let us tell the story in way that was close to the original book – that is, slowly and quietly instead of adding snarky jokes, cell phones, etc. Seeing comments like yours makes the fight seem worth it!

We would love to send your “little guy” a signed movie poster if you think he would like it.

Thanks again for your support!
